If there's one thing that most people understand, it's that combining an intelligent diet with well-designed training will lead to faster fat loss than either of those things alone.

With that in mind, I'd like to unveil the dietary and training secrets to help you start shedding fat faster than you ever have before.

Make sure you read ALL the way to the bottom. The last thing I tell you will blow your mind!

Training Secrets:

The largest proportion of fat is burned during low-intensity cardiovascular work, usually somewhere around 40-60% of your maximum heart rate. A simple way to calculate your maximum heart rate is to subtract your age from 220. If you're 45 years old, your maximum heart rate would be 220-45=175. 40-60% of that would be 70-105 beats per minute. Therefore, in order for a 45 year old to burn the most amount of fat, he/she should perform cardiovascular exercise with a heart rate between 70-105 beats per minute.

Another lesser known fat loss fact is that the process of utilizing fat as a fuel source is very timely. As a result, fat cannot become the dominant fuel source until about 30 minutes into your activity. This means that you should perform at least 45 minutes of cardiovascular activity during each session.

Dietary Secrets:

The two things you need to consider about your diet are your total calories and your fat intake. In general, lowering your total caloric intake will help you lose fat, but it's important to also consume a minimum amount of fat. When you take in too much fat in your diet you store the extra as body fat, which is definitely not what you want! In order to best lose fat, your diet should be comprised of around 65% carbohydrates, 15% protein, and 20% fat.

There you have it-the training and dietary secrets you need to lose fat!

I have just one more thing to tell you.

Everything I mentioned above is what the majority of so-called health and fitness professionals recommend to their clients to help them lose fat. Unfortunately, it's all wrong.

That's right, everything I just said above is a lie!

Despite millions of people being spoon-fed this crap, none of the things above will help you lose fat. If anything, the recommendations above will help you burn the little muscle you have. If you're lucky, a solid year of following the above recommendations will leave you with a body that resembles some awkward combination of Gumby and the Stay Puffed Marshmallow Man.
