Introducing Endeavor Performance Gear!
Hi! This is Kevin Neeld, one of the founding members of Endeavor, Inc. If you’re new to Endeavor, let me explain a bit about our background and how Endeavor Performance Gear came to be.
The Vision
Endeavor, Inc., at its core, is a company founded on helping aspiring athletes fulfill their potential. Elite athletics are more competitive than ever, and as sports performance continue to evolve, so too must the preparation. Today’s athlete has a wide array of needs to help optimize his or her preparation, competitive performance, and recovery. We take pride in offering products and services built on QUALITY, and when something is outside of our specialty, we team up with like-minded individuals in other sectors of athletic development to ensure our athletes have everything they need to be successful.
We started with a small sports training facility that quickly developed a reputation for rapidly transforming our athletes’ performance. Throughout this process, we noticed a commonality amongst the clothing our athletes wore to train in. T-shirts quickly became saturated with sweat. Not only did this make them heavy and uncomfortable, but it also prevented our athletes from performing at their best. Because our largest base of athletes was ice hockey players, some of which would come in to train with us after practice, we also had unpleasant odors to deal with. After reviewing current sports apparel products available on the market, we realized that there wasn’t really a good solution for this problem. That’s where the idea for Endeavor Performance Gear originated.
In an effort to create a line of performance apparel that would help today’s aspiring athlete fulfill his or her potential, Endeavor teamed up with the leaders in fabric innovation.
Teaming Up with Cocona
Endeavor teamed up with an apparel technology company known as Cocona, Inc. In line with our underlying mantra of “quality first,” Cocona excels at “Making the Best, Better!” In other words, we’re not interested in creating what is easiest or most profitable, we’re dedicated to developing what is best for the athlete.
Cocona is at the forefront of fabric innovation, developing technologically advanced fabrics that can help keep the athlete performing at a high level. Cocona yarns and films have a substantially higher surface area (10 times!) than competitive products, which allows for a more rapid absorption and dispersion of the athlete’s perspiration. These materials also capture energy from the athlete’s body and use this energy to effectively evaporate the absorbed water. Simply, Cocona offers a technology that can be interwoven into our extremely comfortable fabric that helps keep athletes feeling light, dry, and refreshed, even under the most competitive circumstances.
The cool thing is that Cocona's technology is completely green. It uses carbon molecules from leftover coconut shells. After the food industry uses the meat and milk, and water/air filtration companies use the larger shell particles, the rest typically goes to waste. Cocona, in alchemist fashion, has turned what would normally be deemed as trash into a high-functioning fabric technology, which not only facilitates more rapid water evaporation, it is also odor-absorbing and has a natural UV protection quality that won't ever wear or wash out like chemically treated fabrics.

Collaborate to Innovate
Let’s face it; there is plenty of “performance” apparel out there. We’re offering something different. It’s not performance apparel; it’s HIGH performance apparel. It’s a revolutionary line of clothing that doesn’t just “wick” moisture to minimize the deleterious effects of sweating on performance, it utilizes the body’s energy to actually ENHANCE performance.
It’s not a simple process. Endeavor Performance Gear is both difficult and expensive to produce, but it’s the best performing and we feel that today’s aspiring athlete deserves the best. So why haven't other companies hopped on board with this technology? Quite simply, it reduces their profit margins. Most large apparel companies have billboard, TV and movie advertisements and celebrity or athlete endorsements that they need to finance. These funds are taken from the profits they make on the apparel (very reasonable). In contrast, we'd rather reinvest money into making a higher quality product, even if it isn't the best "business" decision.
We aren’t doing this for us, and we aren’t doing it alone. We want your help in refining current products and designing future ones. We want to know what you like about the look, feel, and performance of our apparel so that we can constantly improve the quality of our products. Together, we can create something truly special.
To your continued success,
Kevin Neeld
